About Paramount
Paramount is a three piece alternative rock band founded in the summer of 2021 by friends Christian Stahl, Josh Murphy, and Rocco Schiavone. The band started off in a garage playing covers of their favourite bands, then switching to originals that define the signature sound of the band.
The Band Members
The members of Paramount are Christian Stahl on vocals and lead guitar, Josh Murphy on bass guitar, and Rocco Schiavone on drums. Rocco and Christian met during June 2019 and started playing together just for fun. They talked about putting together a band but couldn’t find a bassist. Later around the summer of 2021 the two recruited Josh to learn bass, and Paramount was born.
Sound and Influences
Paramount takes the majority of its sound from early 90's grunge, early 2000s garage rock, pop punk, punk rock, and indie rock to name a few. With artists like Nirvana, The White Stripes, The Strokes, Soundgarden, Greenday, and more, Paramount is powerhouse of different musical styles and genres all culminating in the loud and energetic sound that they’re known for.
